“And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” –Revelation 18:4
The Apostle John instructs the First Century Church to come out of the whore of Babylon. This Jezebel institution was the politico-religious system of their day. This system had “become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.”
Today the modern equivalent is found in the mainline religious institutions of America. These denominational organizations have adulterated themselves with the antichrist beasts that are devouring our people. These churches have corrupted themselves with the liberal lies of Satan that he is using to enflame our land and reduce America to ashes.
These apostate churches corrupted themselves with liberal theology just like the Roman Church of the Early and Middle Ages. Our Forefathers established this nation on the recovered truth of God’s Word during the Great Reformation. These doctrines are known as Reformed Theology and are built upon the following principles known as the 5 Sola’s.
This Latin phrase simply means Scripture Alone. Orthodox Christianity knows no other doctrine than the Bible being the final authority for faith and practice. This absolute authority revealed to man by God is our only standard for doctrine, practice and all of life.
“According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.” –2 Peter 1:3
This revelation is found only in the Holy Scriptures given by God to man. It is to be used to teach doctrine, to convince unbelievers, to correct those who are not walking according to it, and to instruct man in righteousness.
“For the whole Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable to teach, to convince, to correct, and to instruct in righteousness, that the man of God may be absolute, being made perfect unto all good works.” –2 Timothy 3:16-17 (1599 Geneva Bible)
Noah Webster defined the word profitable in his 1828 dictionary as “bringing profit or gain.” This is never said about man’s intuition, conscience, or even natural law. It is only the Word of God that can direct man to life and godliness.
Sola Fide or Faith Alone revolutionized Martin Luther’s understanding of justification. On one occasion Luther nearly killed himself doing penitence as he beat himself unmercifully as payment for his sins. The revelation of justification by faith alone caused Luther to recognize the heresy of the works based theology of Rome. The Bible reveals man can do nothing to inherit eternal life. Salvation is not by the works of man but by the work of God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” –Ephesians 2:8-10
Understanding Sola Fide should make it obvious that salvation is by Grace Alone. It is by grace we are saved according to the Apostle Paul. This grace is not some euphemism for us to define any way we choose. Paul is very specific to define this grace being totally of and by God.
“For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy. For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth. Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.” –Romans 9:15-18
This doctrine is hard for man to accept but true nonetheless. Salvation only comes if God is gracious to ordain the sinner to life and godliness.
This grace that comes from God is solely through Christ alone. Therefore, Solo Christo or through Christ alone is fundamental to the Christian faith. There is no other way to God but through the atoning work of Jesus Christ.
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” –John 14:6
God manifested Himself in the form of a man to atone for the sins of fallen man. To deny this substitutionary death of Christ is to deny the gospel. Either Jesus Christ is our substitute in that our sins are imputed unto Him and His righteousness unto us or we must provide our own salvation.
Soli Deo Gloria
Therefore, the true Christian faith is for the glory of God alone in all matters that pertain to life and godliness. We are saved by Him, through Him and for Him and this is the anthem of the Church throughout all ages.
Why then is the Presbyterian Church USA refusing to sing “the wrath of God was satisfied” in the great hymn In Christ Alone? Why would Dr. Daniel M. Bell of the United Methodist Church write in The Christian Century that God does not require blood sacrifice, therewith, making the substitutionary death and blood of Christ null and void?
The answer is simple, the powerful and elite denominations of our day have apostatized themselves for prosperity, fame and political acceptance. This is why they are more and more accepting of homosexuality and abortion when the Bible is clear about the abomination of such practices.
Conservatives have attempted to reform and reclaim these institutions since the early to late 1900’s to no avail. It has only gotten worse and will continue until there is no resemblance to Christianity left in these churches. The reason is because they have sold their birthright just as Esau and just like Esau they will never be able to recover it even if they wanted too.
This same story is told in the Great Reformation and we are being called to respond in the same and right manner as our Forbearers for the reputation and advancement of Christ’s Holy Church both in our time and in generations to come.
Christians, it is time to come out of the apostate churches and unite with Christ’s Holy Church!
“Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, and will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.” –2 Corinthian 6:17-18
