"Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain." -Psalm 127:1“Where the battle rages, there the loyalty of the soldier is proved.” -Martin Luther
Our mission here at Reformed Church of the Holy Trinity is to contend for and advance Christ’s Church. Everything we do and everything we are involved in is for this very purposes.
It is this purpose that is lost among many of our brethren. Some see their life purpose in advancing everything except the Church, both universally and locally. We cannot over stress the importance of this topic.
Without the Church there is no hope for our society, any society or the world. The Church is the body of Christ and Paul said in 1 Corinthians 15:17-19 that if Christ is not resurrected we are still in our sins and most miserable if our hope is in a powerless Christ.
Although this passage is dealing specifically with the bodily resurrection of Christ, is not the Church the revelation of this risen Christ in this age? Is not the Church the display of Christ’s body today? Is not the Church the ambassador of Christ? If so, then how is Christ and His light to be demonstrated to the world outside of the Church?
Unfortunately, there is a huge contingency of Reformed Christians who are outside of the Particular Church. In this broadcast, Pastor James Brown Jr. tackles this controversial and emotional topic in order to call the saints of Christ back into faithful fellowship with Christ and His Church.
StandingFirm is a weekly podcast ministry of Reformed Church of the Holy Trinity through the direction of Covenant Commission. Please join us each week as we preach the Word of God to edify the saints and call sinners to repentance.
