About Holy Trinity

Reformed Church of the Holy Trinity is a historically Protestant Church located in Morgan County, Indiana, just south of Mooresville and north of Martinsville.

Mooresville is a historic town that is surrounded by the growing townships of Brown (13,491), Madison (7,391), and Monroe (4,674) in Morgan County; Decatur (32,388), Perry (108,972) and Wayne (136,828) in Marion County; Guilford (27,844) and Liberty (5,772) in Hendricks County.  This amounts to over 337,000 people on the southwest side of Indianapolis without a reformed community of saints.

Reformed Church of the Holy Trinity exists to worship and serve God in Trinitarian-centered liturgy, community, and mission.  These essentials of the true Church have been apostatized in the modern evangelical Church just as it was in the Roman Catholic Church during the medieval period.  Therefore, reformation is essential for us today as it was during the days of the Great Reformation.

Without reformation our nation will continue its descent into the abyss of tyranny and the American Church will seal its apostasy.  Reformation requires us to return to the foundations of the faith.  These foundations begin with the true God, the true Scriptures and the true Church.

The true God is revealed in Father, Son and Holy Spirit and must be worshipped in the blessed Trinity as He is revealed in Holy Scripture.  The pluralistic religion promoted by secularism must be defeated before national prosperity returns.

“And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the LORD thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish.” –Deuteronomy 8:19

The true Scriptures are preserved to us in the 66 books as found in the Protestant Bible.  This heritage of Scripture for English speaking people began with John Wycliffe’s translation and continued through the Tyndale Bible, the Great Bible, the Geneva Bible, and the King James Version.  This tradition continues with us today.

The true Church is marked by three main characteristics: (1) right preaching of the Gospel; (2) right administration of the sacraments; and (3), right practice of church discipline.

“The true church can be recognized if it has the following marks: The church engages in the pure preaching of the gospel; it makes use of the pure administration of the sacraments as Christ instituted them; it practices church discipline for correcting faults. In short, it governs itself according to the pure Word of God, rejecting all things contrary to it and holding Jesus Christ as the only Head. By these marks one can be assured of recognizing the true church-- and no one ought to be separated from it.” – The Belgic Confession

“Wherever we find the Word of God surely preached and heard, and the sacraments administered according to the institution of Christ, there, it is not to be doubted, is a church of God.”  –John Calvin

The object of our worship is the Triune God according to Biblical means and forms, the discipleship of saints according to Biblical doctrine, and, the defense of our ancient faith once delivered to the saints.  Therefore, our liturgy is the Scriptures proclaimed and practiced in Biblical means and forms to manifest God’s presence, glory and will in every area of our lives.

An important part of our community is our covenantal unity, fellowship and discipline to encourage and edify the saints unto love and good works.  Therefore, our community is recognized by biblical means and forms of worship exemplified by the saints.

Our mission is to proclaim God’s Law and glorious Gospel locally and around the world as expressed through the Reformed Confessions and historical creeds.  Therefore, our mission is to see biblical worship and covenantal unity become an effectual witness unto the world.

We would be glad for you to join us this Sunday at 10:30 AM to worship the Triune God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, one God, world without end.

And to Him, my Redeemer,
with the Father,
and the Holy Spirit,
Three Persons, one God,
be glory forever, world without end,
Amen, and Amen.
