OUR HISTORY
Holy Trinity Reformed Church has a rich and inspiring history that highlights the faithfulness of God and the dedication of its members to spreading the Gospel in Morgan County. In October 2013, the church was founded with a vision to establish a Reformed congregation in the area. Initially, the church met at Pastor James Brown Jr's home in Mooresville, Indiana. Despite the challenges of starting a new church, the Holy Spirit worked in the hearts of those who attended, and the church began to grow.
A year later, the church leased the former New Harmony Methodist Church in the rural farmland of Morgan County, which provided a permanent location for worship and outreach. Holy Trinity Reformed Church continued to thrive, and in July 2019, the church unanimously voted to join Evangel Presbytery, affirming its commitment to Reformed theology and desire to be part of a larger community of believers. On January 5th, 2020, Holy Trinity Reformed Church moved to its current location at 7542 E Landersdale Rd, Camby, IN 46113. This move was a testament to God's provision and the faithfulness of the church's leadership and members, as the new location provided a larger space for worship, fellowship, and outreach. |
The journey of establishing a Reformed church in Morgan County has not been without challenges, including financial difficulties, a small membership, and a lack of awareness about Reformed theology in the area. However, the Lord has been faithful to provide for the church's needs, both spiritual and physical. Through prayer and hard work, the church has grown in both faith and numbers.
Today, Holy Trinity Reformed Church is a thriving congregation that is actively engaged in spreading the Gospel in Morgan County. The church is committed to Reformed theology, biblical preaching, and faithful discipleship. As it looks to the future, the church is excited about the opportunities that lie ahead and is committed to continuing to labor for the advancement of the Gospel in the county. Holy Trinity Reformed Church is grateful for its history and the many blessings that God has bestowed upon it and looks forward to serving Him faithfully in the years to come. |
