☩ OUR PURPOSE ☩

Picture
Holy Trinity Reformed Church is a community of believers who are committed to worshiping and serving the Triune God in Trinitarian-centered liturgy, community, and mission. Our aim is to glorify God in all that we do, and we believe that this is best accomplished by focusing on these three key areas:

☩ LITURGY ☩
At Holy Trinity Reformed Church, our worship is shaped by the historic Christian liturgy, reformed and governed by Scripture. We believe that true worship is not a performance for human entertainment but a holy encounter between God and His people, where He calls us into His presence, speaks to us through His Word, nourishes us through the sacraments, and sends us out with His blessing. Our liturgy follows a biblical and historic order—beginning with God’s call to worship, moving through prayers of confession and pardon, the reading and preaching of Scripture, the confession of faith, the celebration of the Lord’s Supper, and concluding with the benediction. Each element is purposeful and saturated with Scripture, designed to direct our hearts away from ourselves and toward the Triune God. In this rhythm of worship, God’s people are humbled by His holiness, comforted by His grace, instructed in His truth, and strengthened for faith and obedience. Our liturgy is reverent yet alive, ancient yet ever new, embodying the continuity of the Church through the ages while proclaiming Christ with clarity in our own time.

“The Bible is His written Word, but it is mute. So, God used visual signs as part of His communication with His people. Along with His written Word, He gave a multitude of signs, symbols, external gestures, and rites. The purpose, just as in human communication, was to reinforce that Word.”

☩ COMMUNITY ☩
At Holy Trinity Reformed Church, we believe the Church is not a loose association of individuals but the covenantal body of Christ, a people called out, redeemed, and knit together by God’s Spirit. United to Christ our Head, we are also united to one another, bound in love, accountability, and shared life. This covenant community is where believers are nourished in the Word, strengthened through the sacraments, and built up in holiness and faithfulness. At Holy Trinity, we seek to embody this reality by cultivating genuine fellowship, intentional discipleship, and sacrificial service. We are committed to bearing one another’s burdens, encouraging one another daily, training the next generation in the faith, and standing together as a family of God in a world that is hostile to His truth. The Church is not a weekly event but a way of life—brothers and sisters sharing joys and sorrows, walking in repentance and faith, and laboring side by side for the advance of Christ’s kingdom. In covenant community, the lonely find family, the weak find strength, the wayward find correction, and all find grace in Jesus Christ.

“The visible church, which is also catholic or universal under the gospel (not confined to one nation, as before under the law), consists of all those throughout the world that profess the true religion; and of their children: and is the kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ, the house and family of God, out of which there is no ordinary possibility of salvation.”
–Westminster Confession of Faith

☩ MISSION ☩
At Holy Trinity Reformed Church, we believe the mission of the Church is nothing less than the Great Commission: to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them and teaching them to observe all that Christ has commanded (Matt. 28:18–20). This work of Christianizing the nations begins right here—by building and advancing the kingdom of Christ in our local church, our homes, and our community. We are convinced that the Church does not exist for survival or comfort but for conquest, not by the sword of man but by the Word and Spirit of God. Our mission begins with the faithful preaching of the gospel, the administration of the sacraments, and the practice of godly discipline, which together form strong Christians, strong families, and a strong church. From there, we labor to see Christ’s reign extend outward—through evangelism, catechesis, works of mercy, and cultural witness. We long to see our neighbors, our town, and our region transformed by the gospel, and we see our local efforts as part of Christ’s cosmic plan to bring every knee to bow and every tongue to confess that He is Lord. The mission of the Church is clear: Christ must increase, and His kingdom must come on earth as it is in heaven.

“Christ the Mediator is setting up a kingdom in the world, bring the nations to be his subjects; setting up a school, bring the nations to be his scholars; raising an army for the carrying on of the war against the powers of darkness, enlist the nations of the earth under his banner. The work which the apostles had to do, was, to set up the Christian religion in all places, and it was honourable work; the achievements of the mighty heroes of the world were nothing to it. They conquered the nations for themselves, and made them miserable; the apostles conquered them for Christ, and made them happy.” –Matthew Henry

In summary, Holy Trinity Reformed Church is a community of believers who are passionate about worshiping and serving the Triune God. We seek to do this through Trinitarian-centered liturgy, community, and mission. Our aim is to glorify God in all that we do and to share the love and hope of Christ with the world around us. We invite you to join us on this journey of faith, as we seek to grow in our understanding and love of God and to make a difference in the world through our service and witness.
