By James Brown Jr.
In some online discussions to our Open Letter to our Credobaptist and Paedobaptist Brethren, we were challenged, in a friendly way, by a Credobaptist brother concerning the efficacy of baptism. While we agreed with much of his feedback, I believe it would be helpful to provide some of my comments in response to the question of efficacy.
If we are not careful we can distort the difference between the efficacy of baptism, the proper subjects of baptism, and the true type of baptism. There is a real danger in confusing these three things even if the consequences are unintended.
